PIVOT is a free daily word puzzle available at pivotthegame.com and on iOS. We respect your privacy and collect as little data as possible. We do not run ads, sell data, or track you across the web.
Leaderboard name and score. When you submit a score to the leaderboard, we store the display name you choose and your score for that day. This is voluntary — you can play without submitting.
Gameplay events. We collect anonymous, aggregated gameplay events (such as puzzle completion and move count) to understand how the game is played and to improve it. These events are not linked to any personal identity.
Local storage. PIVOT stores your preferences, stats, and streak data in your browser's local storage (or the app's local storage on iOS). This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
We use Supabase to host the leaderboard database. Supabase processes leaderboard submissions on our behalf. No other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used.
The iOS app may request permission to send daily local notifications reminding you when a new puzzle is available. These notifications are generated entirely on your device — no data is sent to any server. You can disable them at any time in iOS Settings.
PIVOT does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game is suitable for all ages and does not require an account to play.
Leaderboard entries are retained for the duration of the game's operation. Local storage data persists until you clear your browser data or delete the app.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
